Cheers Oleg, We were just helping out our mates from Mary Immaculate College (Mary I), they are tied in with The University Limerick (UL). It was, in part, a sort of educational outreach thing. Their idea is to get new ideas from 3rd level working its way back down the line through 2nd and 1st level and press for changes in the now outdated information being fed to the kids etc.
There was short lectures held by the folks from Mary I and we did an armour display inside the castle for the school kids first, before all the mad stuff happened outside. The girls school then had fun throwing wet sponges off the battlements at the UL Engineering students in their siege towers. They, of course, missed the point of the towers and they were about 10 feet shorter than the battlements. D'oh!
We led the girls in a charge out the main door and took one UL guy prisoner. The guy in the pillory wasn't the one that volunteered. The girls picked their own victim, which just made it even more fun. The pouring water over the chaps head was the idea of one of his class mates. Who needs enemies eh?
Dave.
