Interestingly enough, Padraig reckons that the death toll was just 4,000 (still a horrific number) and not 7,000 as is often claimed.
Among other little tipbits in the interview, the Jacobite soldiers had not been fed in three days before the battle, but on the upside, the French had recently supplied them with shoes!
