Hi, I'm in Waterford Living History Society (aka Waterford Vikings).
I've been at this about a year and a half at this stage, and have been using this site for research.

It's been a ball, but now I want to upgrade some of my kit, so I'll have a few questions if you don't mind.

By all means ask questions! That is what we are here for.
It is probably better to keep the questions as specific as you can - broad questions can get broad answers.

Without even knowing what your questions are I would suggest pick as tight a timeline to work with as you can. Narrowing it down to a 50 year period works well for accuracy (but makes things more difficult in terms of selecting kit to wear/use).
