Hey, it seems the Dublin hackerspace is getting up & running, and they run regular craft evenings. They are always looking for people to teach new ones.

Recently, they've done such diverse ones C programming and arduino building (microprocessor boards for building robots), but in a few weeks they are doing one based on ... crotchet. Which is great. They could easily be persuaded to do other ones. Might be an interesting site to use for large "bitch 'n' stitch" sessions. Only problem is that it's €50 quid a month membership, but they hope to drop that as they get numbers. They even have room for equipment; they have a sewing machine, and likely will start to collect more stuff.
