Our group has contacted BKS to make us several of these axes.

Much of our impression is 15th/ early 16th Century....
We would like to source weapons and kit for later 16th C, Desmond rebellions.

Your sword is Windlass's "Irish Two Hander" discontinued some years back, based upon the sword depicted in Durer's "War Men of Ireland."
Would love to compare notes on Galloglas impression building;

I can't believe these swords are now so cheap, I paid a lot more for mine, and it is the same blade. (The usual seller of these in the States dropped this type of blade a several years ago, so I think this seller picked up the 'over stock'). Windlass makes some really decent blades, butt $99.00 for one of theses? Get one before they are gone!

Has anyone else procured one of Baltimore Knife & Sword's Gallowglass axes? I ordered two, received in April of this year. Mine are very nicely made, well balanced. I didn't go for their "decorated" version.
